Laugh & Learn - Friday 10am-12pm
Be part of a classroom with a difference solving puzzles, sharing news and experiences, maths and language activities, and much more. A friendly, easygoing session where 'students' have fun while learning. Bring a pencil, ruler and exercise book - and a sense of humour! This is an informative, fun-filled activity for seniors only.
Tuesday Book Club - 1st Tuesday of the month, 5.30pm-8.30pm
Share your joy of reading with others. The group meets monthly at the Golf Club to discuss and critique the book of the month. Books are supplied by CoGG library. Please contact the office for more information about this group.
Learn Latin - Tuesday 3pm-4pm
The aim of this group is to learn about the language in a relaxed and enjoyable way. The Latin language is ancestral to modern Romance languages, and there are many benefits to studying it. Some of the main reasons to study Latin including improving mental acuity, improving spelling and vocabulary, help understand English literature references, and it facilitates the study of Romance languages like French, Italian and Spanish. It's also a great way to meet others and have fun.
Philosophy Cafe - Fortnightly, Wednesday 10.30am-12.30pm
This group is guided to participate in a philosophical discussion of diverse subjects including literature, religion and politics. If you would like to explore some general and fundamental questions, come along and join in.
Reading Discussion Group - 3rd Thursday of the month, 1.30pm-3pm
Unlike usual book groups which discuss a particular title, this group invites participants to share their reading of books associated with a topic (e.g. memorable characters). A different topic is selected for each meeting. Please contact the office for more details.
